In Omar’s case it is the mustache that makes the man. And the medals.

This series of mosaics was inspired by Napoleonic general portraits. I loved the sheer pageantry of the uniforms contrasting with the rather blank faces. This came through nicely in brick.

These pieces are solidly built and can be hung on a nail. The elements have not been glued, so care should be taken as they can come apart.
